Getting started can be *so* overwhelming. Our first home had a garden overgrown with goutweed and honeysuckle bushes. The first year I managed to clear about 1/5 of the space and put plants in there. The next year I was so fed up we hired a friend's teenage son to dig out the rest. He gave up after one afternoon! So, it was up to me. Amazingly, we got it all cleared and planted and the end result was worth all that hard work.
