I woke up this morning to find Jack Frost looking in my bed room window. What’s he doing here and can I get him arrested. That might prolong summer a bit while he is going through the courts for trespassing.
It’s not even the end of September yet Jack, give us a break.
The night before last it dipped to just 4 degrees Celsius prompting me to bring in all the flowers in pots I wanted to keep alive until next spring.
I am sure it was the vegetables grouping together and complaining about the cold that woke me this morning.
Even though I can’t take too much of the heat through the summer I do love it and really don’t like to see it go. If it wasn’t for all the beautiful colours that come with fall I am sure we would move further south.
I am a New Brunswick fly fishing fanatic and find the fall to be the best time for fly fishing Atlantic salmon. They fight hard, taste great and the fall colours just make for the most spectacular pictures.
Wouldn’t it be great if we just had spring, summer and fall. All winter does for me is drain my bank account trying to keep the cold out. The heating cost for the winter just seem to take the fun out of it.
Just a couple more years and we retire and hopefully kiss winter good bye for a while. I would never move away from our home but leaving for a few cold months, well that I could handle quite well.

2Anything that is hardy had no problem last night but I am sure glad I brought in the plants that I had put out for the summer months. I am sure they would not have made it.
Joy I was looking at your web site and that rose bud is the coolest picture. I suck pretty bad when it comes to taking pictures. I usually try to get anyone else to take them as I shake too much to get a great image.

3But what happens when the police approach Jack and say “Freeze!!!!
You’re under arrest!”? Do we get a cold snap?

4Krys, that’s exactly what happens and is the reason I didn’t call them.
