Hello…is it too late (this coming weekend June 13th) too late to plant? Maybe for seeds but what about for plants (pumpkins, zucchin, squashes? and tomatoes). Would it be too late for corn, beets, snow peas etc?
Hi Deborah.
I don’t think it’s too late for your plants.
I think the seeds should have been planted indoors but I only planted mine outdoors last week. I was also hoping we wouldn’t get nailed with a frost.
The temperature at night over the past week has been 4-6 degrees and I thought I was going to lose all my work. So far so good and it’s now past the 10th of June.
I planted my corn last week using seeds but I started beets from seed about a month ago, maybe a little longer. The same with the squash.
I did put them out a week ago and kind of lucked out that we didn’t get frost.
I think you should go and buy some of what you want that is already started so you don’t have to deal with what happened to us last year when we started things a month late.
