A Backyard Gardener in New Brunswick
Image via Wikipedia
That’s me, a backyard gardener, and I am learning new and helpful things about gardening here in New Brunswick all the time. I like to follow a number of gardening bloggers using Bloglines so I can keep up with what they are up to without having to open all 40 some sites.
I have only been a backyard gardener for the past couple of years. Our first year spent as new gardeners was learning what we already had on our property when we purchased it just 3 short years ago.
This year we are moving quite a few flowers around so they fit in better and to keep them from hiding other flowers that get kind of blocked from view.
I am so looking forward to this growing season, even though it’s still 4 or 5 months left. I am taking advantage of the time so I can learn when to plant specific things and how to make them do the best they can.
I have already decided to do a bit of square foot gardening thanks to a video I watched the other day. I think square foot gardening or maybe I should call it square metre gardening here in New Brunswick. But what ever you call it I believe it will save us major time and utilize our backyard garden space much more efficiently.
