I’ve Started Using Pinterest To Home Garden Pictures

I’m kind of a shy guy when it comes to social networking and usually avoid it but I just learned about Pinterest where I can share photos and videos, without having to converse with people.

An online friend suggested I give it a try but before jumping in with both feet I thought it might be good to learn what Pinterest actually is. I first looked to Wikipedia to see what it is. Here is what I found.

What Is Pinterest?

According to Wikipedia Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pin boards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favourite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pin boards created by other people. Browsing pin boards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

Next I jumped over to Youtube to watch a few videos on the subject. I viewed a few that were long and boring but this one below is short and to the point plus it’s animated. I liked it and felt it was the one to share.

Now I can share my hobby and interest pictures and I take a lot of pictures, especially when I’m in my home garden or fishing with friends. Here is a sample of the first pictures I added to my home gardening section.

Pinterest doesn’t have much of a learning curve if your goal, like mine, is posting and sharing pictures online. It’s a great way to bookmark things of interest.

I followed the simple instructions on the Pinterest Resources page and add their Pin It icon to my bookmarks toolbar and now when I’m on a site with pictures I like to share I just click the Pin It button and all the images on that page are lined up for me to pin which ever ones I want to add to my Pinterest pages.
