Pests have long been around people since the beginning of time. They are very hard to get rid of and are very hardy organisms that can sometimes withstand the most basic solutions to a pest control problem. People have tried to completely eradicate pests and have just succeeded in making the pests more invulnerable or greater in numbers than they were previously. The Pest Problem There are two common pests in households today, rodents and insects. Rodents or rats are the most undesirable pests because they themselves are dirty and their droppings and urine can cause sickness in people. This pest control problem has been around for centuries and is nowhere close to being solved. Rats are the pest control problem that can be really huge because they often live in the house itself and multiply very fast. Exterminators try to get rid of all rodents in a household but sooner or later these either return or new ones find their way into the home. This pest control problem cannot be completely solved because rats are everywhere in the world except maybe the coldest regions. Their high reproduction rate adds to the problem because they can bear litters several times a year and live long lives.
The insect pest control problem usually concerns cockroaches, ants and termites. These are the most common insects that can be found in almost every house. You might not even know you have a cockroach or termite infestation. These insects are some of the most resilient insects in the world. Cockroaches have been around for millions of years and they have survived up until this very day. They represent a pest control problem that cannot be solved except temporarily.
Kinds Of Pest Control Rodents are usually controlled by setting traps like metal mouse traps or sticky glue paper for mice. The bigger rodents which are smart enough to avoid rat traps can be taken care of by poisoning. Rat or rodent poison needs to be handled with care because it also affects people and other animal. Store it in place safely away from children and pets.
An insect pest control problem is harder to manage than a rodent problem. The insects can go deep into the cracks of the house and into the ground and stay there until the spray or chemical insecticide is gone. Usually, exterminators are called to the house to fumigate the entire house for a few days.
